Water Over Stone

Along a quiet waterfall in Oregon, water slips gently over layers of dark stone, flowing in soft ribbons as it makes its way down the rock face. I was drawn to the way the water moved across the shelves of stone—slow, graceful, and endlessly patient.

Using a long exposure allowed the motion of the water to soften into a smooth veil, revealing the subtle shapes and textures of the cascading falls. Moss and small patches of greenery cling to the rock, bringing life and color to the shadowed cliff.
